Svatobor hill (845 m) looms above the town Sušice, about 3 km west.

The hillsides of the hill were probably settled in the distant past. At the foot of the hill there were found remains of the troglodytic dwelling from the Middle Stone Ages (10,000 - 8,000 B.C. - the reconstructed dwelling can be seen in the museum in Sušice) and of the prehistoric burial ground.

On the top there is a 31 m high observation tower from 1935. It offers a nice circular view of the Šumava mountains (Bohemian Forest) and the ruins of castles Rabí and Kašperk.

The Baroque St. Anne's Chapel, which stands on the western slope, originates from 1748. It was built as a part of the former small spa near the spring of healing water not far from the settlement Odolenov.

The red marked tourist path from Sušice (about 5 km) and the yellow marked one from the small village Hrádek (about 5 km), which lies about 5 km north of Sušice, run to the peak.
