The hydroengineering structure Kořensko was built on the Vltava river not far from the small village Neznašov about 5 km west of the town Týn nad Vltavou.

The weir was constructed together with the neighbouring Hněvkovice Dam and was completed in 1992. It is 5 m high and 80 m long and used for equalizing of the water level of the Vltava river in Týn nad Vltavou. The power station with two Kaplan turbines (2 × 1.9 MW) is in the dam.

The reservoir behind the weir has a capacity of about 2.8 million cubic metres of water and ends not far from the Hněvkovice Dam. The water power station is controlled from the centre in the Štěchovice Dam (south of Prague).

Access to the dam is possible from the road from Týn nad Vltavou to the town Písek turning-off right behind Neznašov. The yellow marked trail leads to the weir from Neznašov as well.
