Poledník mountain ("Noon Mount" - 1,315 m) lies about 8 km north-west of the village Modrava and about 12 km south-west of the small village Rejštejn near the Czech-German border in the National Park Šumava (Bohemian Forest).

The mountain stands in the border area, which was forbidden to the public in the second half of the 20th century. There was an army station on the peak. This mountain and the near Prášilské Jezero (Prášily Lake) have been free since 1989.
The hillsides of the mountain offers nice views of the other peaks of the Šumava mountains: Boubín and Sokol (in Bohemia) and Luzný, Roklan and Javor (in Germany). A unique observation tower, which stands on the top, was rebuilt from the original army building.

The red marked tourist path leads to the top from Modrava (about 13 km) or from the small village Prášily (about 10 km).
