The protected area Jilmová Skála (Elm Rock) lies on the southern slope of Boubín mountain near the settlement Zátoň (a part of the village Lenora). The area was named after the rock formation called Jilmová Skála, which is situated near the railway station in Zátoň. This reserve adjoins with the nature reserve Boubínský Prales (Boubín Forest) and it was established to protect very well preserved spruce and fir forests.

The unmarked path leads from the railway station in Zátoň in the western direction through the reserve. It runs by the rock formation Jilmová Skála and it heads to the settlement Kubova Huť.
