The railway bridge connects both banks of the Vltava river near the small village Červená about 10 km south-west of the town Milevsko.

It was built in 1889 on the railroad between the towns Brno and Plzeň (Pilsen). It is 253 m long and originally it went 65 m above the water level of the river. After the filling up of the Orlík Dam its height reduced.

The iron construction comprises three fields - the length of each of them is 84 m. The pillar columns were strengthened with the granite blocks before the filling up of the Orlík Dam.
