The nature reserve Vlkovský Přesyp (Vlkov Sand Dune) extends to the north-western border of the Protected Landscape Area Třeboňsko about 4 km to the south-east of the town Veselí nad Lužnicí and near the railroad between the towns Veselí nad Lužnicí and Třeboň.

The reserve is 0.8 ha large. A sand dune, which was formed by wind, and plants growing in sand are protected in this reserve. It is one of two drifted sand dunes in South Bohemia - the other one is the Slepičí Vršek (Hen Mound).

The road, which turns to the left from the road between the towns Veselí nad Lužnicí and Třeboň - about 2 km far from the parking-lot near Horusický Rybník (Horusice Pond) - leads to the reserve. The red marked tourist path, which runs from Veselí nad Lužnicí to Rožmberk pond leads through the reserve. The instructional trail Veselské pískovny (Veselí Sand Pits) also leads along the border of the protected area.
