The conspicuous Ostrý mountain (Sharp - 1,280 m) with two peaks towers above the Czech-German border about 8 km west of the small village Hojsova Stráž and 12 km north-west of the town Železná Ruda.

The mountain is also nick named Jezerní Hora (Lake Mount) or Prsa Matky Boží ("Bosoms of the Virgin") for its two peaks. The saddleback between both tops was called "Wolfish Abyss" and the legend says, that the miraculous shooter lived there in the 17th century. This story was the topic of the opera about magic shooter by the composer Karl Maria Weber.

The top is accessible along the red marked path from the railway station in Hojsova Stráž (about 12 km).
