The small village Záluží lies about 5 km west of the town Soběslav on the border of the Borkovická Blata peat-bog (Borkovice Marshland), 450 m a.s.l.

The important sight is a complex of very well preserved rural homesteads with high and richly ornate gables and portals. They were built or reconstructed in the style of the so-called rural South Bohemian Baroque in the 19th century. The small museum in one of the houses shows the lifestyle of people in this region in the 19th century.

In the neighbouring small village Vesec there is an access to the instructive trail, which leads through Borkovická Blata.
