The small village Padařov is situated about 4 km south of the small town Jistebnice, 509 m a.s.l.

The village is probably a birthplace of two Hussite hetmans: Mikoláš of Padařov and Filip of Padařov.
After the battle near the village Lipany (the decisive defeat of the Hussites in 1434) Mikoláš of Padařov still wanted to fight. He and a radical part of the Hussites were definitively conquered in the battle near the small village Křeč (near the small town Černovice).
Filip from Padařov was the founder of the richly ornate manuscript "Padařov Bible".

The politician and publicist Alfons Šťastný lived in Padařov too.
