The instructional trail Borkovická Blata (Borkovice Marshland) leads through the preserved peat-bog Borkovická Blata (Borkovice Marshland) in the northern part of the Českobudějovická Pánev (České Budějovice Basin) in the area among the towns Veselí nad Lužnicí, Soběslav, and Týn nad Vltavou.

It is dedicated to acquaint visitors with the history of the peat-bog, with its vegetation, and with former and current ways of peat mining. Another aim is to inform of ethnography in this region.

The 4.5 km long trail is mostly used by pedestrians, most of the route is also passable for cyclists.
The point of departure is situated about 0.5 km from the parking-lot, which lies near the road from the village Mažice to the village Vesec (and then to Soběslav), about 2 km behind the village Mažice.
On the point of departure there is a box with guidebooks for visitors. The route is marked by green-white signs. There are several informative boards along the trail and an exhibition of the mining machines. The part of the path going through the peat-bog leads mostly on the wooden duckboards. There are about 30 signs with numbers along the duckboards to take notice of some notable flowers - the numbered species are described in the guidebook.

Interesting places on the trail:
