The Zelená Hora chateau (Green Mount) stands on the hill of the same name on the northern outskirts of the town Nepomuk.

The church originally stood on the hill above the monastery in Nepomuk. The church was later fortified, but in 1420 it was burnt down by the Hussites. Then, after the end of the Hussite Wars, the new castle was built in the place of the fortification. It was rebuilt into the chateau during reconstructions in the 17th and at the beginning of the 18th century.
The manuscript called Rukopis Zelenohorský (Green Mount Manuscript) from the 9th or 10th century was found in the chateau in 1818, but it was inauthentic.

The Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary stands in the front part of the area. It probably originates in the Early Gothic period.
The chateau standing on the top is the three-winged building with the prismatic tower situated in the large park.
