The small village Javorná lies 11 km north-east of the town Železná Ruda near the road to the town Klatovy, 842 m a.s.l.

Originally the settlement was a centre of farmsteads of the so-called Králováks. There used to be several glassworks in the surroundings, the oldest ones were founded in the 15th century.

The St. Ann's Church is the oldest sight in the village. Originally it was founded as a chapel in 1698. Then it was rebuilt into the Baroque church during the 18th century. Both towers are covered with shingle.
