The Buzice fortress is situated on the south-western outskirts of the village Buzice about 4 km east of the town Blatná.

The fortress was founded in the second half of the 14th century. It was called castle due to its robust four-storeyed prismatic tower and the moat and ramparts. At the beginning of the 16th century the fortress was enlarged - the residential buildings were added, but in the middle of this century it was already abandoned.
The main building with living wings and remains of the tower have been preserved up till present. Traces of the moat and ramparts can be seen in the south-eastern part.
