The originally Romanesque St. James' Church was reconstructed in the second half of the 13th century. The Early-Gothic presbytery originates from that time as well. The Early-Baroque tower was added in the 18th century. At the end of the 1860's the church was rebuilt into the Neo-Gothic style.
The three-aisled basilica and presbytery are arched with the cross ribbed vault from the third quarter of the 14th century.
